Traffic resumes nearby cut gas line in downtown Fort Lauderdale

The smell of gas was a spirit since trade in Fort Lauderdale’s business district was blocked from roving along East Las Olas Boulevard during a finish of rush hour Tuesday morning.

“It’s associated to a Icon construction,” pronounced Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Capt. Gregory May about a gas line on Southeast Fifth Avenue, south of a boulevard, subsequent to where a oppulance condominiums are being built.. “A high-pressure, two-inch gas line was cut in a street.”

Traffic had to road since firetrucks blocked a streets in surrounding blocks; a rigs remained in place until 11:30 a.m., when normal trade upsurge could resume.

“The stage was incited over to Teco gas, and they are completing a repair,” May said.
