A teen died in a pile-up Wednesday night after losing control of a motorbike he was driving, investigators said.
The Broward Sheriff’s bureau pronounced Darious Payne, 17, of Fort Lauderdale, was roving a friend’s off-road motorbike around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday along Northwest 29th Terrace in unincorporated Broward nearby Fort Lauderdale.
When a automobile in front of him incited left during a intersection on Northwest Fifth Street, Payne mislaid control of a bike and fell opposite a driver’s side of a vehicle, investigators said.
Payne, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was taken to Broward Health Medical Center. He died there a few hours later, according to a Broward Sheriff’s Office.
