On Monday, the high-occupancy vehicle lane stretching between the Miami Gardens exit and Sunrise Boulevard on Interstate 95 will be open to all drivers.
This applies to both the north and southbound side of the highway.
Construction will soon begin to turn that lane and the break down lane next to it into two Express Toll lanes.
The Florida Department of Transportation is working to remove or cover up all the white signs above the lane.
Florida Highway Patrol said their troopers don’t plan to enforce the HOV restrictions south of Sunrise starting on Monday.
The project is part of an ongoing effort to improve the Ives Dairy Road exit.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2014.
