ATLANTA, Feb. 21 (UPI) — Diabetes affects about 26 million in a United States, though a comparison people get, a aloft their risk of being diagnosed with diabetes, officials say.
Nilka Rios Burrows, a researcher during a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, pronounced there are things people can do to reduce their risk of form 2 diabetes.
“Number one, practice regularly. Two, remove weight. And three, eat a healthy diet,” Burrows pronounced in a statement.
Those age 45 and comparison and those with risk factors for form 2 diabetes should be tested each 3 years for form 2 diabetes.
Burrows pronounced those with form 2 diabetes should also be “seeing a alloy regularly.”
