TAMPA, Fla. –

Legendary boxer trainer Angelo Dundee has died.  He was 90 years old.

Dundee spent years training boxers like Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard to stardom.  Best known for training Ali when the boxer was still known as Cassius Clay, Dundee earned the reputation as the best trainer in the business.  He also had one of the biggest personalities in the sport.

Dundee had significant ties to South Florida.  His brother Chris opened the famous 5th Street Gym in Miami Beach in 1951, and Dundee often trained his boxers there.
