Bush calls for calm amid global stock market panic
By Jeremy Pelofsky and Daniel Trotta
WASHINGTON/NEW YORK (Reuters) – Warning that “anxiety can feed anxiety,” U.S. President George W. Bush implored Americans to remain confident on Friday and promised to restore stability in the face of a global stock market panic.
The complete story….
My Comments:
President Bush has been in front of the public 14 times trying to calm the Investing World, but no one is listening. Today, the DOW is down over 500 points again and trading around 8000. Last year the DOW was at 14,000.
The Rescue plan still has several weeks before anything will be in place to use that $700Billion rescue money.
The world Markets are dropping as well, most blaming the US for this collapsing market. I talked with my broker and he said this is a long term problem, let’s all hope that this will recover. I am not going to look at my IRA till next year…
